Carpenter & Cook is a cafe that had been introduced by Ladyironchef and  Cafe hopping blog post as one of the 20 cafes to visit in Singapore. Fortunately for me, I visited the place before the recommendation was made. My gut feeling tells me it's very crowded now! I got to know this place from a friend of mine and decided to try it after lunch at omakase burger.

We were full so we ordered one of their sweet pastries and a pot of rose tea to share.






Their passionfruit meringue tart is sooooooooooooo yummy!!! The passion fruit puree is not too sour or sweet and compliments the sweetness of the meringue so well. Blogging about it makes me miss the pastry so much :( Would need to brace the crowds to have a taste of it again.

The interior decor is all things vintage...so pretty!!!







I would like to come back to Carpenter & cook again. For my passion fruit tart, as well as to try their sea-salt caramel chocolate tart.

After much persuasion from my partner to start a food blog due to my passion for eating and finding the best cafes/restaurants/hawker food in Singapore to fill my tummy, tada!! Here I am..I will be recording all my food adventures: back then , right now and from now on. Not sure whether I will be getting any readers outside my social circle, but I am glad to share my gastronomic experiences to anyone else who are passionate foodies like myself or people who are searching for great places to dine-in for special occasions or regular eat-outs. Singapore may only be 710 sq km huge (according to google), but there are so much so much to explore. A cosmopolitan city which welcomes globalisation with wide arms open, many restaurants and cafes are opened by people all around the world. In addition to so many multi-cultural influences, old-school local hawker food that are reminisced of our nation's history and the roots of our pioneers that establish Singapore on the world-map. Other than Singapore, there will be occasional rants on the food explored in Malaysia as well as wherever my feet takes me to. Go the distance!!! So watch out for this space :)
