Tiong Bahru Bakery is an artisan bakery opened by Gontran Cherrier, a popular French artisan baker and pastry chef. There are currently two outlets in Singapore, the original branch at Eng Hoon Street and the newer outlet at Raffles City Shopping Centre. I met up with a friend on a weekend morning to have breakfast at the Eng Hoon Street outlet. It was early, but there was already a crowd forming.
The artisan sandwiches that we chose to have:
Specialty bun with smoked salmon and pesto
Specialty bun with bacon
The beverages:
Hot chocolate
Iced Mocha
I chose the squid ink bun with smoked salmon and hot chocolate. The bun was fluffy and absolutely yummy with smoked salmon and pesto. Tried a bit of my friend's specialty bun, it was delicious as well. I would want to come back to try their other artisan buns. Bread lovers should really go to TBB to try their baked goods.
